About Us

Decentlife Zambia is a private non-political, non-profit making, Non-Governmental Organisation dedicated with focus to respond to current need on mother and child vulnerability by empowering and transforming both women and children to a community endowed with decent livelihood.

our founder

Behind every great movement, there is a leader with a greater vision. And for Decentlife Zambia, that very special leader is Lydia Cooper Mwanza, a social scientist with a degree in Development Studies and a woman of steel but soft heart for humanity. With the increasing vulnerability of women and children today, she believes every child and mother deserves a decent life and a future.

We provide quality education and preschool programs, books, supplies, educational toys and so much more.

We provide robust health and nutrition programs that save children’s lives and ensure they grow up healthy.

Through the HIV and AIDS prevention and care programs, we are dedicated save both women and children.

Whether a natural disaster, famine, war or disease outbreak, we have in place emergency responders for children.

We help improve the food supply, farming practices and finances of families so they can feed and provide for their children.

Decentlife Zambia protects children from abuse, neglect, exploitation and violence. We fight against child lablour and fight for children’s rights.

We have put in place various women empowerment facilities and campaigns to help empower women.
